Ta-Valema Permaculture Farm & Learning Lab

Ta-Valema is a Mende word that means

"a source of growth" or "point of germination".

Ta-Valema Permaculture Farm and Learning Lab is located in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone, in Kenema District, Gorama Mende Chiefdom, on 20 acres of land secured. Beyond providing for the nutritional needs of children attending Dovalema Early Childhood Center and increasing food security throughout the village, the farm will act as a learning lab to promote sustainable energy, livelihood development, and re-forestation through the SLFND's P.A.C.T. program.
