We are taught from a young age the importance of washing our hands, maybe singing the ABC's, and covering our sneezes. These may be common practices, but they have reduced hospitalization and infection rates significantly. Emphasized throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we have witnessed the importance of cleanliness and... soap! By purchasing one bar of soap you are keeping a child in school for a month to learn about germs along with allowing them access to cleaning tools and sterilized water.
About the ingredients & process,
There are antibacterial oils packed within the cocoa powder that is mixed within the palm oil, ashes, and hot water. The process begins by soaking the ashes in hot water and placed within lappa as a filter. After being carefully filtered, the mixture is boiled for one day with palm oil and cocoa powder. Once cooled, this soap is then molded into our various sizes for use!
